Road conditions and travel time

The roads on the Iveragh Peninsula are narrow and winding in places, and mapping apps tend to underestimate journey times on these routes. In July and August, traffic on the Ring of Kerry can add significant time to your journey.

Allow more time than your mapping app suggests, particularly in peak season. Arriving at least 30 minutes before your tour gives you time to park and find the marina. Tours depart on schedule.
