Our Cancellation Policy
Both the Eco Boat Tour and the Skellig Michael Landing Tour operate in open Atlantic waters and are subject to weather and sea conditions. Our cancellation policies reflect this.
We process eligible refunds on our end as quickly as possible. Once issued, it can sometimes take up to 10 days for the amount to appear back in your account depending on your bank, though it is usually quicker than that.

If we have to cancel your tour for any reason including weather, sea conditions, or any other circumstances, you will receive a full refund including the booking fee.
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR
Skellig Islands Eco Boat Tour
The Eco Boat Tour runs from April to early October with multiple departures throughout the day.
Cancellation 3 or more days before your tour
Full refund minus the €4.50 per person cancellation fee.
Cancellation less than 3 days before your tour
No refund available for late cancellations.
If we cancel due to weather or sea conditions
Full refund including the booking fee. If you would like to reschedule, please contact us and we will do our best to find you a place on the next available departure.
Group bookings of 10 or more: A cancellation fee of €4.50 per person applies for cancellations made 7 or more days in advance. No refund for cancellations made less than 7 days before the tour.

Skellig Michael Landing Tour
The Landing Tour runs from mid-May to the end of September with one departure per day.
Cancellation 7 or more days before your tour
Full refund minus a cancellation fee of €15.50 per person.
Cancellation less than 7 days before your tour
No refund available for late cancellations.
If we cancel due to weather or sea conditions
Full refund including the booking fee. Due to limited daily availability it is rarely possible to reschedule a cancelled landing tour booking, though we will always try if space allows.
What to expect
Weather cancellations
The Skellig Islands are situated 12km off the Kerry coast in open Atlantic waters. If we have to cancel your tour, we will contact you as early as possible by phone or text.
Eco Boat Tour
The decision to cancel is made by our skipper based on the sea and weather conditions. Passenger safety is always our priority.
A full refund including the booking fee is issued. If you would like to reschedule, contact us and we will try to find you a place on another departure.
Landing Tour
The OPW heritage guides on Skellig Michael assess conditions at the landing site each morning. They may cancel the tour outright or delay until later in the day in the hope that sea conditions improve.
If the tour is cancelled, a full refund including the booking fee is issued. Due to limited daily capacity, rescheduling is rarely possible.
How often do cancellations happen?
Because the eco tour has multiple departures throughout the day, there is often at least one window where conditions are suitable.
The landing tour is dependent on sea and weather conditions but also on the condition of the landing steps, which can make it more susceptible to cancellation even when the crossing itself is manageable.
