Places to Stay
Where to stay for your trip to Skellig Michael
Portmagee and surrounding area
Accommodation on the Skellig Coast
We recommend staying locally the night before your tour because the sea conditions vary a lot and we are often not sure if the tour will go ahead until right before it is due to depart. If you are staying locally we may be able to let you know if the tour is cancelled before you leave your accommodation. If you are staying further away, you will have to drive to the marina in Portmagee in the morning and the tour may be cancelled when you arrive. Of course, if we know earlier that the tour is cancelled, we will contact you by phone as soon as possible.
Portmagee, Valentia Island, Cahersiveen, Ballinskelligs, St Finian’s Bay, Kells Bay, Waterville, Caherdaniel, Castlecove and the surrounding areas all have great accommodation options and are not too far from the departure point. The options below range from a self-catering house sleeping six to B&B rooms within walking distance of the pier.
